Music Reports, Inc. (MRI) helps songwriters collect mechanical royalties in the United States. Their platform allows musicians to efficiently track and manage their music rights, licensing, and royalty earnings.
Originally, MRI was created to give local television broadcasters an alternative to the rigid blanket licensing systems of BMI and ASCAP. To address this, they developed a service that allows TV composers to license their works directly to stations. This includes collecting detailed music usage data, processing TV schedules and revenues, and automatically preparing reports for submission to Performing Rights Organizations (PROs).
Beyond television, MRI also handles music rights clearance, licensing, and accounting for digital and background music services, including Amazon, Deezer, Flipagram, Microsoft, Pandora, iHeartMedia, PlayNetwork, SiriusXM, Slacker, SoundCloud, and Tidal.
If you participate in the Too Lost Sync/Publishing program, your music is reported and delivered directly to Music Reports for royalty tracking and collection.
