Publishing Administration on Too Lost, in partnership with BMG, registers your songs with collection societies and license platforms around the world, making sure you get paid for the music you write.
How It Works
- Song Registration: Your songs are registered with royalty collection societies (PROs, CMOs).
- Royalty Collection: Too Lost collects mechanical, performance, and sync royalties on your behalf.
- Payout: Earnings are credited to your Too Lost Wallet.
How to Get Started
- Make sure you are already signed up with a Performing Rights Organization. The PRO will provide you with an IPI #, which we require to be in your writer information while registering works for publishing.
- Navigate to the Publishing Administration section of your Too Lost account.
- Submit an application (application review could take anywhere from 2-14 business days to complete).
- Once your application is approved, you will receive a contract that you can sign directly in your Publishing Administration section on your dashboard. You have as much time as you’d like to review this agreement.
- Once you sign, you can start submitting tracks for registration.
Important
- We are always looking for sync placements for all of our users, and will ensure you are notified if any come our way for you! We cannot guarantee sync placements from our end, but you are more than able to source your own sync placements as well.
- Publishing earnings may take 6-12 months after registering to start showing up in your dashboard.
- All other information regarding your agreement will be available in your contract.
