Usage Discovery is Too Lost’s internet-wide content tracking tool, designed to help you understand where, how, and by whom your music is being used online. It’s the first product of its kind built specifically for independent artists and labels.
Why Use Usage Discovery?
Once you’ve created your music, knowing how your audience interacts with it is key to your promotional success. With digital distribution expanding the ways fans consume music, your tracks may appear far beyond traditional streaming: on Twitch streams, podcasts, social clips, memes, and more. Usage Discovery gives you visibility into these moments, helping you take control of your music’s journey across the web.
These insights help you:
- Identify leaks or unauthorized uploads
- Monitor audience engagement
- Discover new promotional or marketing opportunities
- Proactively manage infringements
What Does Usage Discovery Track?
Usage Discovery monitors your music across a wide range of social and content platforms. Current integrations include (but are not limited to) YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Reddit, and many others.
You can access your Usage Discovery activity directly through the Analytics portal of your Too Lost account.
What Insights Will I Receive?
Each time your music appears on a supported platform, Usage Discovery collects detailed information, including:
- Source URL where your music was detected
- User URL and name of the person who shared or posted
- Title of the content featuring your music
- Engagement data such as total views, likes, comments, and shares
- User time stamps for long-form content (e.g., Twitch clips)
