What Is Dolby Atmos?
Dolby Atmos is a cutting-edge spatial audio technology that transforms the way listeners experience sound by moving beyond traditional stereo and surround formats. Instead of confining audio to fixed channels, Dolby Atmos allows creators to precisely position up to 128 individual sounds (called “audio objects”) anywhere in three-dimensional space, including overhead. This results in a highly realistic and immersive listening experience, surrounding the listener in a dome of sound that mirrors how we perceive audio in the real world.
