When uploading your audio masters, we recommend using the highest quality formats possible to ensure the best playback and distribution results. Keep in mind that some services downsample the audio files to fit their specifications.
Recommended Audio Formats
- HD quality: WAV or FLAC at 24 bit depth, 44.1KHz, stereo.
- Standard quality: WAV or FLAC at 16 bit depth, 44.1KHz, stereo.
If you have an MP3, M4A or other audio file, and have no way of exporting the song as a WAV file, you can still use the audio when creating a release. Our system will encode the audio for you and store it as a FLAC file. However, this may compress the quality of the audio.
We accept the following formats in our uploader:
- MP3
- WAV
- FLAC
- AIFF
- M4A
