If you need to update information on an existing release (such as artist names, metadata, or cover art), Too Lost’s edit request feature allows you to submit changes directly. Here’s how to do it:
1. Log In to Your Account
- Access your Too Lost account to get started.
2. Navigate to the Release
- Go to My Releases and locate the specific release you’d like to edit.
3. Submit an Edit Request
- Select the release, then look for the Edit Request option (the notepad icon next to the release).
- Complete the form with the specific details of your requested changes (e.g., new artwork, updated metadata, or corrected release dates).
4. Review and Submit
- Double-check all details to ensure accuracy. Once you’re ready, submit your edit request.
5. Confirmation and Processing
- You’ll receive a confirmation notification, and our team will review and process your changes. Processing times may vary, and you’ll be notified when the edits are live.
You can only request updates for releases that are in one of the following release statuses:
- Live
- Delivered
As a reminder, updates can take 1-3 business days to populate across the major stores and services. Updates can sometimes take more than 7 days to populate across smaller services. Please note, stores may not accept an update for their own reasons and policies. If your update is not accepted by a specific store/service, we would recommend issuing a takedown and re-distributing the content.
Should you need to make major updates to the release that are not supported by our request edit feature, such as modifications to the audio file, label names, and C&P line year, we suggest requesting a takedown of the release and re-publishing the song.
