YouTube Music is YouTube’s dedicated music streaming service, similar to other platforms like Spotify or Apple Music. It is currently available in these territories.
Distributing to YouTube Music
When you distribute your releases to YouTube Music, they also appear on YouTube as auto-generated Art Tracks. These tracks include your artwork and audio, allowing fans to listen to your music directly on YouTube. Since these platforms are connected, your release will appear on both or neither.
The description of your YouTube Art Track will display Provided by [Label Name], using the label name you provide on the Uploader.
Royalties are generated for both YouTube and YouTube Music streams. 100% of those earnings will be deposited to your Too Lost Wallet.
If you want your music to be available in the YouTube Shorts library, your release must be delivered to YouTube Content ID. For more information, please see our Help Center article here: How Do I Distribute My Music to YouTube Shorts?
What’s the Difference Between YouTube Music and YouTube Content ID?
YouTube Music and YouTube Content ID serve very different purposes within the YouTube ecosystem:
- YouTube Music is a music streaming service, similar to Spotify or Apple Music.
- YouTube Content ID is an automated copyright management system. It scans all of YouTube for videos that use your music and helps identify, claim, and monetize those uses.

How Do I Claim My YouTube Music Artist Page?
You can claim and manage your YouTube Music artist page by setting up an Official Artist Channel (OAC). An OAC gives you access to update your artist page, view performance analytics, and take advantage of additional artist tools and features.
