SoundExchange is a non-profit organization, founded in 2003, that collects and distributes digital performance royalties for over 700,000 creators under the U.S. government’s Section 114 license. It has distributed over $12 billion to artists and rights holders, using data-driven systems to ensure accurate and efficient royalty payments.
How SoundExchange Works
SoundExchange administers the statutory license, which allows services to stream music while paying a fixed rate per play. They collect and distribute royalties for both the featured artist and the sound recording copyright owner whenever your content is played on non-interactive digital sources such as internet radio, satellite radio, and certain streaming services.
When you use Too Lost to deliver your music to SoundExchange, those royalties are automatically deposited into your Too Lost Wallet.
How to Deliver Your Music to SoundExchange Through Too Lost
- Whether uploading or editing your release, go to the Release Information section of the Uploader.
