You can easily transfer your catalog from another distributor to Too Lost while keeping your existing stream counts.
Option 1: Use the Transfer-In Tool
Too Lost offers a built-in Transfer In tool for importing releases that are already live on Spotify.
-
Search your artist profile on Spotify
- Find and select the releases you want to transfer (you can select multiple at once).
-
Duplicate the release
- The selected releases will be copied into your Too Lost account.
-
Edit your release
- Upload the original audio file and add the genre (these are required).
- Double-check artist roles, writer credits, lyrics, and any other metadata that may not have carried over.
-
Publish your release
- Once live, your Too Lost version will merge with the original.
-
Request takedowns from your previous distributor
- Only do this once your Too Lost releases are live. For information about how to request a takedown through your previous distributor, please see our Help Center article here: How Do I Take Down My Music from My Previous Distributor?
Option 2: Manually Recreate Your Release
If you prefer not to use the Transfer-In tool, you can manually rebuild your releases in Too Lost.
-
Create a new release in Too Lost
- Use the exact same audio files, metadata (artist name, song titles, etc.), ISRCs, and artwork as your original release to avoid duplication issues and help retain streaming data.
-
Wait for duplication
- Once submitted, your release will appear in stores and services alongside your original distributor’s version.
-
Wait for streams to merge
- Platforms like Spotify and Apple Music will automatically merge streaming data between the two versions. This may take a few days.
-
Request takedowns from your previous distributor
