The new Too Lost "Uploader" provides a simple, step-by-step process to upload your music to over 400 stores and platforms worldwide. Here's how to use it:
Step-by-Step Guide
1. Start Your Upload
Log into your Too Lost account, and Create a New Release (https://www.toolost.com/uploader)
2. Release Information
- Enter your Release Title.
- Select an existing artist profile, or click Create New Artist to add the Primary Artist for the release.
- Choose the release format (Album, EP, or Single).
3. Artwork
- Upload your own artwork or use the Generate Artwork option to create AI-generated artwork.
- If uploading your own, ensure it meets the Cover Artwork Requirements listed here: https://help.toolost.com/hc/en-us/articles/360054808451-Cover-Artwork-Requirements
4. Release Date
- Set the Release Date when you want your music to go live.
- If re-releasing previously available music, also set the Original Release Date.
- For pre-order availability, choose a Pre-Order Date.
- To release your music at a specific time and time zone, adjust the Define time and time zone setting.
5. Genres & Language
- Select the Primary Genre (you can add a secondary genre too, but it's optional).
- Choose the language of your release, or mark it as No lyrics / instrumental if applicable.
6. Label Information
- Add a record label name
- Complete the P-Line and C-Line fields
7. Select Stores/Platforms
- Manually choose the platforms you want to deliver your release to. Your release will be delivered to all platforms by default.
8. Additional Delivery Options
- Explore additional, sometimes time-sensitive delivery opportunities. Select any that apply, but note that some may require further quality control and approvals.
9. Optional Information
- Optionally, specify the version type, licensing type, or add your own UPC code.
- You can also manually deselect territories to limit your release's distribution.
10. Upload Your Tracks
- Upload or drag-and-drop your track(s) for the release.
- Click Edit Track to modify details for each track, then click Save Changes and Continue.
- You will be required to enter the “Writer Roles” section for every track
11. Review & Publish
- Preview your release. If everything looks correct, click Publish Release.
- If there are issues, click Resolve Issues to fix any incomplete sections.
12. Finalize
- Agree to the Terms of Use and confirm that you have the rights to distribute the music.
- Click Publish Release to complete your upload.
Important Notes:
All releases are reviewed by our content team within 1-4 business days.
We recommend uploading your release at least two weeks before the release date to allow time for modifications and platform processing.
